The world speaking to us!

I really believe the world around us (which is also within us) is constantly trying to communicate with us and re-calibrate us back to the path we are meant to walk when we start to drift off. My day today was a perfect example of this.

It's been a stinking hot Melbourne summers day and after I collected my kids from school we decided to hit the 7/11 for a slurpee run. After we went in and returned to my car, it wouldn't start. Thank goodness I had jumper leads in the boot. First man came along and jump started me then took off. I drove to the driveway then bam! Battery died again. Next man came along and jump started me then quickly drove off and once again the battery died and I was stranded in the driveway of 7/11.

Luckily a lovely friend of mine came by and jump started me and waited a bit for it to charge. Third time lucky and we made it home. Once I arrived home I started to mentally unpack the message here. Why did this happen? Yes it was a hot day and the car probably suffered. But also why today? Why not other hot days? I knew this was a way of getting a message to me. The past few days I have been tiring myself with a business decision and feeling the weight of it all. My energetic battery was well and truly flat. As I write this I get it even more. Recharging off strangers didn't work. It took the work of a friend. Perhaps some of the message was to show me there are people willing to step in and help me! You see the world, universe, god or whatever you believe is always trying to balance us. Life is trying to make life easier not harder for us. It truly is working for not against us. So why do we lose faith in it?

Todays big lesson for me was to watch my own battery more. Be mindful when it is depleting. How flat do you allow yourself to get before you need rapid recharge? A brilliant local author, Carlie Maree, said "radical work in the world requires radical self care". It's true. The more we want to be there for others, the more we want to show up and make the world a better place, the more we need to nurture and take care of ourselves. There is a natural law of energy. You cannot have only output without input. But so often we do all the output and forget we need to refill our tank. No one around us benefits when we have ran out of fuel.

What do you tune into? Where have you had massive aha moments when things have hit the proverbial fan? Or perhaps you're only just starting to explore these things. Either way it's pretty cool to know that there is this energy trying to work for us not against us!

xx

Julia
