Navigating Change and Uncertainty
When we face change or uncertainty, distinguishing between fear and intuition can be challenging. Both emotions can feel overwhelming, but they originate from very different places. This morning, I encountered a reel from Dr. Gabor Maté that resonated with me deeply, especially as I navigate a potential significant change in my life. The key difference to note is the charge behind our fears.
It's easy to get caught in a fear state, looping through our thoughts and spiraling deeper into anxiety. It takes practice, but learning to pull ourselves out of these negative loops is essential. Centering ourselves on what we can control is absolutely worth the effort.
We are certainty-seeking beings. One of the greatest sources of suffering in our lives is the illusion of certainty. The only true certainty is change. To thrive during uncertain times, we must enhance our ability to adapt.

Distinguishing Between Intuition and Fear
So, how do we differentiate between our intuition and our fears?
Put simply:
Intuition feels like a calm, quiet, grounded knowing. It’s a gentle wave of guidance that carries no emotional charge.
Fear, on the other hand, comes with an emotional charge. It’s often triggered by the mind’s narratives. A single thought can spark a physical reaction in the body, leading to a cycle of “evidence gathering” — searching for proof that reinforces our fears. This process strengthens our perception and heightens emotional reactivity.
Fear feeds itself. Intuition doesn’t need to.
The Role of Kinesiology
This is where kinesiology can be incredibly powerful. In our sessions, we focus on several key areas:
Separating thoughts from true perceptions: We work to differentiate between the mind's chatter and our genuine feelings.
Dismantling evidence-seeking: We gently dismantle the patterns that fuel emotional distress.
Seeking positive evidence: We actively look for evidence that things can turn out well.
Bringing the body into a responsive state: We practice techniques to help the body respond without reactivity.
Releasing the illusion of control: Control is ultimately a construct of the mind. The tighter we hold on, the more our nervous system suffers.
Learning to trust the body’s wisdom while quieting the mind’s noise creates space for your intuition to shine through.
Finding Groundedness Amidst Uncertainty
If you’re feeling stuck in fear, uncertainty, or looping thoughts, kinesiology can guide you back to that grounded, calm knowing. This way, your next step can come from alignment, not anxiety.
Embracing Change
Change is an inevitable part of life. Embracing it can lead to growth and new opportunities. By understanding the difference between fear and intuition, we can navigate these transitions more effectively.
Conclusion
In conclusion, recognizing the distinction between fear and intuition is crucial for personal growth. It allows us to make decisions that align with our true selves rather than being driven by anxiety.
With gratitude,
Julz.
